We were able to go to Polar Express. The kids had so much fun. They were doing a happy dance when we got to the trains. Curtis wasn't really excited until he saw the trains. We went to a fast food place in Heber. In there they have a model train that drives around the entire place and all Curtis could do was to watch the train. They also had this really cool pen that both of the kids got. They love it.
We went to the train station and got our tickets. When we got there it was so busy, but the anticipation of the ride was getting to the kids. Especially because we had the kids was the movie Polar Express while we were driving. When we were finally able to board, we got into our seats along the side that was best able to see Santa. Nikki was full of giggles and smiles as we were waiting. All Curtis wanted to do was to go between the seats where Mark and I were sitting so that it because his own personal jungle gym.
During the ride to the North Pole. The kids get to have a home made cookie from Mrs. Santa Claus. Nikki made sure to tell every one that it was her favorite cookie. After that they hand out Hot Chocolate. Mrs. Claus came and gave us the recipe for the chocolate cookies which she made sure to tell us included Elf giggles. So Nikki started putting the giggles in her pocket to save them for later.
We read the story of the Polar Express. We got to the North Pole and the kids were able to se Santa. Then we started back. While we were driving back Santa came into our train car. The look on Nikki and Curtis' faces was priceless. Nikki asked for a Dolly and Curtis asked for a train. They were each given a bell. Then started the never ending version of Jingle Bells.
It was a really fun night and may memories made. It was something that we want to repeat next year.
